What are MCC and MNC?
Together they identify a mobile network anywhere in the world (the "PLMN"):
- MCC — Mobile Country Code, three digits, picks the country (the UK is 234 and 235, Ireland 272, the US 310–316).
- MNC — Mobile Network Code, two or three digits, picks the operator within that country (in the UK, 30 is EE, 15 is Vodafone, 20 is Three, 10 is O2).
You'll see them on a phone's Field Test screen as the PLMN (for example "234 30"), in SIM details, and in cell tower records.
About this list
Every country code is included. The operator list covers the UK in full plus the major networks in common countries; an unknown operator code still resolves to the right country. Codes change over time as networks merge and launch, so treat it as a guide.
